What types of kayaks do businesses rent out with Booqable?

How do online bookings actually reach my schedule?

When a customer books and pays on your rental website or booking page, the order automatically lands in your Booqable back office. The kayak they reserved is immediately marked as booked for those dates, so a walk-in or phone customer can’t be promised the same boat.

Can I track each kayak separately and schedule maintenance?

Yes. Each kayak can be set up as its own unit, so you can see which one is going out, who has it, and when it’s due back. When a kayak needs cleaning, inspection, or repairs, you can schedule downtime that takes it out of availability for those dates.

How do security deposits work for kayak rentals?

Booqable can add a deposit to every order automatically, either a fixed amount or a percentage of the rental total. For deposits you’d rather hold than charge, you can authorize and hold the amount on the customer’s card from the back office, then release it when the kayak comes back or capture it if there’s damage or a missing accessory. Either way, security deposits can be handled directly from the order in Booqable.

Can I set different rates for hourly, half-day, or full-day rentals?

Yes. You can price kayaks by the hour, set a flat half-day or full-day rate, or offer a lower per-day price on longer rentals, and Booqable applies the right rate automatically based on the dates a customer picks. You can also add seasonal pricing for busier months.

Can I manage pickups and returns from my phone?

Yes. The mobile app lets you create or update orders and take payments at launch, right from your phone. When a kayak comes back, marking it returned updates availability on the spot, so the next customer sees an accurate schedule.

Does it work with the website I already have?

Yes. You can embed Booqable’s booking components into an existing website built on WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Webflow, and others, link out to a standalone booking page, or build a full rental site in Booqable if you don’t have one yet.

Can I require a signed waiver before a kayak goes out?

Yes. Booqable generates a rental contract or waiver from the order details, including customer, dates, and kayak, and you can add your own terms, liability clauses, and safety policies. Customers sign digitally before or at launch, and the signed document stays attached to the order.
